Aberlour最大的特色就是Double Cask Matured，將以達顛峰期的雪莉桶原酒與波本桶原酒先經過調配後，再裝入高級的新雪莉桶中進行短期的熟成。亞伯樂16年精選傳統經典的橡木桶及最高級的Oloroso雪莉桶。
口感滑順，酒精味並不強烈，橡木桶和香草的風味襯托出大麥麥芽的清甜，隱隱約約佐以巧克力和香料等香味，增加整體口感的活潑度。
尾韻穀物和水果乾的味道更為明顯，流露出堅果香料和雪莉木的風味，卻不失清新淡雅的特質。
